Produce your own narrative film and submit to film festivals!
This 5-day intensive camp provides teens (ages 13-18) with the opportunity to produce short narrative films under the mentorship of professional filmmakers. Students will pitch a story, write a script, scout locations, audition and cast professional actors, as well as direct, produce, edit, and market their film to be screened at Digital Gym Cinema.
Session 1: June 15-19, 2020
Session 2: June 22-26, 2020
Session 3: June 29-July 3, 2020
Session 4: July 6-10, 2020
Session 5: July 13-17, 2020
Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
Cost: $275 (Members save 20%)
During this 30-Hour Production Challenge, students will gain experience in:
Audio recording and mixing
Blocking a scene
Each camp culminates with a screening at our Digital Gym Cinema to showcase their work for family and friends.

ABOUT OUR TEEN FILMMAKERS BOOT CAMPS
Our weeklong Summer Teen Filmmakers Boot Camp classes take place at the Digital Gym, a multi-purpose community space in North Park managed by the Media Arts Center San Diego, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to providing filmmaking tools and media education to under-resourced communities in an effort to create social change.

Scholarships: Need-based scholarships are available for students who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program at school. NOTE: Full scholarships have already been awarded for the summer sessions. Partial scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis. Apply Here
There are no refunds for camps. To receive credit for future camps, cancellation is required at least one week in advance of the start date of camp. Credit will be valid for one year, and will be equal to the amount paid, less 10% for processing fees. Media Arts Center San Diego may at times need to cancel classes due to low enrollment, at which point a check reimbursement will be issued, less 10% for processing fees.
MACSD is not responsible for providing refunds or offering makeup sessions for camps missed as a result of illness, emergencies or events beyond the student’s control.
MACSD will confirm cancellation via email.
