Monday: Understanding the actor’s toolbox and the language actors use to communicate. Recommended approach & techniques. Assign an activity for directors to practice language & approach. Practice. Come back with questions. Directors should record/edit the actor’s performance and submit to instructor.
Wednesday: Review assignments & discuss learnings. New tools & techniques. Final assignment &r reinforcing key points. Plan showcase. Instructor will talk about the process, and each group will show a video demonstrating the collaboration between actor & director, share learnings, and answer audience questions (which come in through Facebook & YouTube)
Friday: 11am-12pm Practice showcase, which will be broadcast on YouTube & Facebook LIVE using Streamyard. 12-1pm Showcase on YouTube & Facebook LIVE (estimated length of broadcast is 30 minutes, plus post-evaluation and closure).

Roxane has been a working professional artist (Actress, Singer, Dancer, Director, Choreographer) for over 34 years and a teaching artist (Acting, Voice, Dance, Musical Theatre, Directing, Audition Coach) for 30 years. Roxane has a B.A. in Theatre from UCSD and an M.F.A. in Musical theatre from San Diego State University.
