Penn Jillette writes and stars in this genre bending wild trip through the deranged mind of a crowdfounder unhappy with the film he donated money to. He decides to kidnap the film’s star, played my Missi Pyle, and make his over version of the film.
Herbert Blount (Penn Jillette) is a crowdfunding contributor for the new Adam Rifkin feature KNOCKED OFF. Unhappy with the film, he steals the footage and kidnaps actress Missi Pyle to star in his own “director’s cut!”
“An extraordinarily clever – yet wickedly accessible – exercise in runaway metafiction …” – Screen International
“…a hilarious mix of production observation, movie-making incompetence, and unhinged self-implication into an art that always needs outsider input to renew itself.” – Sight and Sound
