Campers learn to make g movies by working with local filmmakers and teaching artists.
In our FUN, EDUCATIONAL, HANDS-ON camps, youth will learn camerawork, editing, stop motion, green screen, and more! Ages 6-12. Campers are encouraged to submit films to the iVIE Awards!

Cost: 4-day camp is $220 and 5-day camp is $275; Thanksgiving camp is $160.

ABOUT OUR CAMPS
Media Arts Center San Diego, has been providing filmmaking workshops for all ages for 22 years throughout San Diego County. During camp, youth flex their technology and creativity muscles by producing original movies. Using a project-based learning model, campers learn pre-production, production, and post-production skills and techniques, such as storyboarding, cinematography, online video editing, as well as Green Screen photography and Stop Motion!
We’re a community partner with Girl Scouts San Diego. Cadets can earn a Digital Movie Maker Badge!

SCHOLARSHIPS: Need-based scholarships are available for students who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program at school. Partial scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis. Apply Here
There are no refunds for camps. To receive credit for future camps, cancellation is required at least one week in advance of the start date of camp. Credit will be valid for one year, and will be equal to the amount paid, less 10% for processing fees. Media Arts Center San Diego may at times need to cancel classes due to low enrollment, at which point a check reimbursement will be issued, less 10% for processing fees.
- MACSD is not responsible for providing refunds or offering makeup sessions for camps missed as a result of illness, emergencies or events beyond the student’s control.
- MACSD will confirm cancellation via email.
