Based on the guidance of the California Department of Public Health in regards to COVID-19, MACSD has cancelled all classes until March 30, 2020. We will continue to share updates with you via email, social media, and the digitalgym.org website, on decisions regarding ongoing programming, under the advice of the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, the San Diego County Office of Education, and entities that inform youth activities.
Where youth flex their creativity muscles by producing their own movies!
In our Camps, students learn narrative storytelling, cinematography, editing in iMovie or Adobe Premiere, stop motion animation, and use our Green Screen studio!
A matinee of their completed films are screened on the last day of camp to a full house in our independent movie theater, the Digital Gym Cinema! No experience necessary!

ABOUT OUR CAMPS
Our weeklong Fall & Winter Camp classes take place at the Digital Gym, a multi-purpose community space in North Park managed by the Media Arts Center San Diego, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to providing filmmaking tools and media education to under-resourced communities in an effort to create social change.
MACSD is a community partner with Girl Scouts San Diego. Cadettes can earn a Digital Movie Maker Badge!

Scholarships: Need-based partial scholarships are available for students who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program at school. Apply Here
There are no refunds for camps. To receive credit for future camps, cancellation is required at least one week in advance of the start date of camp. Credit will be valid for one year, and will be equal to the amount paid, less 10% for processing fees. Media Arts Center San Diego may at times need to cancel classes due to low enrollment, at which point a check reimbursement will be issued, less 10% for processing fees.
- MACSD is not responsible for providing refunds or offering makeup sessions for camps missed as a result of illness, emergencies or events beyond the student’s control.
