Welcome to Media Arts Center San Diego’s
New VIRTUAL Summer 2020 Youth Media & Tech Camps
Virtual Camps this Summer! Youth get to flex their creative technology muscles through creating an original movie from start to finish. Campers, ages 6-12, will learn how to shoot video, edit in Wevideo, & create storyboards via daily Zoom sessions! The student’s film projects will be premiered on the last day of camp via Youtube & Facebook! No experience necessary!

Summer Camps Daily Schedule:
Group Skills & Group Discussion: 9-11 am
Independent Activity/Lab: 11-12:30 pm
Lunch Break: 12:30-1pm
Individualized Instruction: 1-2 pm
Check-in & Review: 2-3 pm
Virtual Film Showcase: 3pm (Friday only)
During this virtual filmmaking bootcamp, students will gain experience in:
*Audio recording and mixing
New!! Each camp culminates with a virtual screening and livestream Q&A via Facebook & YouTube to share your work with family and friends!
Cost: $260 per week
Hours: 8:30am- 3:00pm

ABOUT OUR CAMPS
Our week-long Camps take place at the Digital Gym, a multi-purpose community space in North Park managed by the Media Arts Center San Diego, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to providing filmmaking tools and media education to under-resourced communities in an effort to create social change.
MACSD is a community partner with Girl Scouts San Diego. Cadettes can earn a Digital Movie Maker Badge!

Scholarships: Need-based partial scholarships are available for students who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program at school. Apply Here
There are no refunds for camps. To receive credit for future camps, cancellation is required at least one week in advance of the start date of camp. Credit will be valid for one year, and will be equal to the amount paid, less 10% for processing fees. Media Arts Center San Diego may at times need to cancel classes due to low enrollment, at which point a check reimbursement will be issued, less 10% for processing fees.
- MACSD is not responsible for providing refunds or offering makeup sessions for camps missed as a result of illness, emergencies or events beyond the student’s control.
