Intro Teen Producers Project (Intro to Documentary Filmmaking)
The TEEN PRODUCERS PROJECT (TPP) teaches teens the basic principals of documentary filmmaking while producing 2-3 minute digital stories in a team learning environment.  Students are assigned to a student crew of filmmakers and together produce a short documentary focused on community issues for our Speak City Heights initiative. Technical instruction focuses on intro to cinematography, basic lighting techniques, interviewing skills, storyboarding, camera skills, and how to edit their projects in Adobe Premiere Pro. In addition, this program aims to empower each student to become his or her own unique storyteller (ages 12-18)

**Showcase screening: [August 21] @ the City Heights Library Performing Arts Annex **

Schedule: Saturdays from 10:00am – 2:00pm

Cost: $320** (Member price. $40 off!) $360 (General). Scholarships are also available for San Diego Unified School District students.

Advanced Teen Producers Project (Narrative Filmmaking)

The advanced TPP class is designed for teens who already know the basics of filmmaking and want to take their skills to a new level. Students are required to have at least one year of experience in filmmaking and proficient in the following skills: manually exposing and focusing on a DSLR camera system, operating a boom microphone and external audio field recorder, and working in post production/editing on Adobe Premiere Pro. The program is instructed by a local professional filmmaker. This class guides students though the process of creating a short narrative film. Write a script, scout locations, audition and work with professional actors, learn advanced cinematography skills, advanced lighting techniques, advanced editing techniques, and more!
