In this gritty drama executive produced by Nas, a group of inner city teens get caught up in a potentially life-changing drug deal that puts them in immediate danger with local queen-pin.
Executive producer Nas presents this vivid inner-city saga set amidst Cleveland’s hip-hop underground. Teenage buddies Cisco (Jorge Lendeborg Jr.), Junior (Moises Arias), Boobie (Ezri Walker), and Patty Cake (Rafi Gavron) shrug off school to practice skateboarding, which they hope will be their ticket to a better life. In the meantime, they steal cars to finance their dream. But when they get mixed up in a drug deal and cross a ruthless crime queen-pin (Linda Emond), they put their friendship—and lives—on the line.
Critic Quotes:
“A lived-in, breathed-in movie, filled with atmospheric details, unexpected characters, and a striking authenticity.” – Flavorwire
“Caple has put together a polished-looking package, with plenty of visual texture, especially in the many nighttime scenes. And a thicket of music modulates the mood, from punchy hip-hop to the portentous strains of Jongnic Bontemps’ score.” – The Hollywood Reporter
