Motion Lines: Graphic Novels on Screen
To celebrate the upcoming 2026 Comic-Con, Digital Gym Cinema presents three of our favorite big screen adaptations of graphic novels. David Cronenberg’s harrowing exploration of identity and revenge A History of Violence (July 7) kicks things off with a gut punch, before the series continues with the late Marjane Satrapi’s timelessly essential Persepolis (July 14) and concludes with Edgar Wright’s ever spritely and colorful Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (July 21). All three remain superb examples of how cinema and comics will be forever intertwined.
