About our guest speakers:

Amanda Nasser earned her BS in Nursing from San Diego State University and her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from UC Irvine. She currently specializes in Emergency Medicine at UC San Diego. Amanda is deeply committed to humanitarian medicine and has volunteered both locally and internationally, serving vulnerable and underserved communities. Her work has included providing care at the U.S.–Mexico border, in the West Bank with the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), and in Lesvos, Greece, where she treated asylum seekers in refugee camps. In November 2024, Amanda spent one month in Lebanon providing medical care to displaced persons at Siblin Government Hospital. Most recently, from August through September 2025, she volunteered in Gaza at Nasser Medical Complex, working in the Emergency Department and caring for patients with a wide range of acute and complex medical needs. These experience has strengthened her commitment to compassionate, equitable, and accessible care with hopes to return to Gaza.

Palestine Pals started in San Diego, CA in October of 2023. They are a fully volunteer based organization seeking to spread awareness and support of Palestine, specifically of our brothers and sisters currently facing genocide and ethnic cleansing both in Gaza and the West Bank.
