Synopsis: Set in post-revolutionary 1930s Mexico, Arráncame la vida (Tear This Heart Out) follows Catalina, a young 15-year-old girl who marries Andrés Ascencio, a charismatic, ruthless military general and politician. As Andrés rises to become governor of Puebla and a national power player, Catalina evolves from an innocent bride into a politically savvy woman, eventually finding passionate liberation and a secret affair with an orchestra conductor named Carlos.
