Synopsis: Unemployed cowhand Jim Garry (Robert Mitchum) is hired by his dishonest friend Tate Riling (Robert Preston) as muscle in a dispute between homesteaders and a cattleman. The cattleman’s very different daughters add layers of complication to this neo-noir western. Film Geeks favorite Alan K. Rode, who wrote a book on the film, will be in person for an introduction.
