Synopsis: One of Italian genre filmmaking legend Lucio Fulci’s (ZOMBIE, THE BEYOND) few excursions into the Spaghetti Western genre, FOUR OF THE APOCALYPSE serves as a testament to his reputation as one of exploitation cinema’s greatest pulp poets. Following their release from jail, four convicts go on a borderline-Biblical odyssey through the American West in search of sanctuary, along the way encountering the full spectrum of humanity’s capacity for brotherhood and bloodshed. Packed in a powerful blend of visceral violence and surprisingly rich subtext, FOUR OF THE APOCALYPSE is a worthy entry to any Fulci retrospective and a fantastic example of the spaghetti western subgenre.
