Experience an immersive evening of ethereal soundscapes, psychoacoustic phenomena, and hypnotic film with Los Angeles-based composer and performer, Sarah Davachi, and local ambient ensemble April.

Music for a Bellowing Room is a collaborative durational work by musician Sarah Davachi and filmmaker Dicky Bahto, both based in Los Angeles. It’s an exercise in resolution, inviting the audience to shift their concentration and perception through gradual changes in sound and image. This piece was originally commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

With a delicate balance of analog synthesizers, thrift-store hardware, acoustic instruments, and live visuals, April will weave an ambient sound bath that envelops the listener and transforms the theater into a dreamscape.
