Synopsis: During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Opera Neo created a fully virtual production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute. None of the nearly 70 artists involved in the project worked together in person, but their passionate, dedicated efforts came together to create something truly unique: a full-length feature film version of Mozart’s beloved hero’s journey, created entirely from the homes of the individual artists. Opera Neo’s Magic Flute was widely heralded for its ingenuity, accessibility, and visual and musical quality.

Screened in the theater for the first time as a full-length film, The Magic Flute was originally released episodically, and has gained a cult following online.
