We’re excited to invite our partners, colleagues, and community members to the Outside the Lens x Puente Student Film Showcase on Thursday, June 5th at Digital Gym Cinema in San Diego.

This event marks the culmination of a 12-week collaboration between Outside the Lens and San Diego City College’s Puente Project — an academic program dedicated to increasing college access and leadership among Latinx/Chicanx students. Through this partnership, students have transformed their original poetry into short films, developing skills in media arts, visual literacy, and self-advocacy.

The evening will include:
🎥 Screenings of student-produced films
🎙️ A panel conversation with student filmmakers
🍽️ Food and time to connect with peers and supporters
